ghd straighteners are by far the best in my opinion... I'd always bought myself the cheaper ones - Remington, Babyliss, etc. - until a friend gave me ghds for my birthday. They get the hair so much straighter and the straightening lasts much longer, but they are so quick to use as they get so much hotter than the cheaper brands.
Always use a heat protector spray with ghds (well, any straightener really!) - they get very very hot compared to other brands - it may be a shock when you first use them... don't keep them on your hair too long, usually a quick sweep and you're done!
When I (stupidly) dropped mine and broke the switch I was devasted... nearly couldn't go out because my hair was a disaster... I ordered a new pair on next day delivery! The newer models have a more substantial switch, so this pair should last me a while now!
